In 2006, Elizabeth's book 'Sacred Space' A Guide to Healing and Recovery, shot to best selling status within one week of it's publication. Elizabeth has regulalry appeared as a guest on BBC Radio and in the media for her work, which, on a daily basis helps to improve the health, well being and lives of many others.
Since childhood Elizabeth has had a deep desire to help others feel better, and be well, and it was often commented that Elizabeth had 'healing hands'. To this day, sick animals find their way to Elizabeth and are often reported to be found either laying at her feet, or curled up on her lap, and injured birds are said to fly into her home through her open windows to seek comfort with her.
In 1998 Elizabeth gained an International Examination Board (I.E.B.) diploma in the Advanced Study of Anatomy and Physiology, and became a qualified Reflexologist and member of the International Federation of Reflexologists.
Prior to the establishment of Elizabeth's work as a Reiki healer and spiritual healer, Elizabeth studied with the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in the practice of Raja Yoga Meditation, as well as studying many other meditation practices and holistic modalities, including: iridology, herbal medicine, Bach flower remedies, nutrition, cognitive behavioural therapy, counselling skills and spiritual counselling.
After receiving spiritual healing and Reiki healing treatments in 2003, Elizabeth immediately knew that, as well as spiritual and Reiki healing being beneficial in her own journey to healing and recovery, Elizabeth wanted to make spiritual healing and Reiki healing part of her everyday life. Today, as a Reiki Master and Seichim Energy Healing Master, the science of natural energy healing continues to play a significant role in Elizabeth's life. Elizabeth has addressed many support groups and organisations about her healing work and is often requested to work within hospitals and with some of the worlds leading healing organisations.
During the writing, and after the publication, of Elizabeth's first book 'Sacred Space' A Guide to Healing and Recovery, Elizabeth worked as a volunteer at a local healing and counselling centre, where her role involved taking calls from people who were often deeply distressed and in need of support. It is through her work at the healing centre, and in specialist schools for children with severe learning disabilities, that Elizabeth's desire for helping others to help themselves regain their strength grew stronger. Then, one day at the healing centre, Elizabeth was approached by some members who were attending a National Health Service (NHS) run, cancer support group, who asked if she would teach the meditation and relaxation exercises that were in her book 'Sacred Space' to the group.
After more requests from the group and much consideration, Elizabeth began a teaching plan of structured 6-week, evening and morning meditation sessions at the healing centre. At the end of the course all of the students requested more classes. And at that time, Elizabeth still felt that she had more to learn herself, and she took further tuition in the study of Buddhist Mindfulness Meditation, and attended courses with the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University, where she received an honorary blessing. Since that time, Elizabeth has further developed, and provided 'Sacred Space' Specialised Meditation Courses and retreats, which, now, due to popular demand, are provided to clients both throughout Sussex and internationally, and the awareness and popularity of her work contunies to grow.
